Job Title: Commercial Insurance Sales Specialist
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Reports to: Sales Manager/Agency Owner

Salary: $40,000 base per year + commissions and bonus 
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:
The Commercial Insurance Sales Specialist is a proactive and results-driven professional responsible for driving the growth of commercial insurance products, including property, liability, workers’ compensation, and specialty lines. This role focuses on aggressive sales initiatives, leveraging innovative strategies, and building strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will align with Amy Newland strategies, emphasizing client-centric approaches and community engagement to achieve outstanding sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales and Business Development:
    • Develop and execute proactive sales strategies for commercial insurance products, identify new business opportunities, and stay informed on industry trends and client needs through market research.
  • Client Relationship Management: 
    • Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing personalized insurance solutions, conducting comprehensive needs assessments, and regularly reviewing coverage to ensure it remains adequate and current.
  • Customer Service Excellence: 
    • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and claims promptly, educating clients on insurance products, and ensuring high satisfaction and retention through continuous follow-up.
    • Community Engagement and Networking: 
      • Enhance the agency’s visibility and reputation by participating in community events, developing relationships with key stakeholders, and representing the agency at industry events and client meetings.
    • Collaboration and Teamwork: 
      • Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to ensure a seamless client experience, share market insights and strategies, and participate in sales meetings and professional development activities.
    • Data-Driven Decision Making: 
      • Use CRM software and sales tools to track and analyze sales activities, prepare reports and forecasts, and refine strategies based on data insights and client feedback.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
      • P&C and Life insurance licenses are highly desirable.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 1 year in insurance sales, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
    • Experience in developing and executing aggressive sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Skills:
    • Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively etc.

  • Number of new commercial insurance policies sold
  • Client acquisition and retention rates
  • Sales revenue growth from commercial insurance products
  • Client satisfaction scores
  • Conversion rate from leads to sales
  • Engagement in community and referral activities
