GCA is seeking a full-time Lead Windows Administrator to oversee endpoint management and IT workflows, ensuring a secure and seamless end-user experience across the enterprise. This role is responsible for patch management, software deployment, encryption, and automation, leveraging industry-standard tools and best practices to optimize IT operations.
The Lead Windows Administrator will play a critical role in strengthening enterprise security, standardizing desktop engineering processes, and driving workflow automation while providing advanced technical support for enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee patch management lifecycle, including testing for functionality, compatibility, and potential conflicts across infrastructure and applications.
- Proactively monitor and remediate security vulnerabilities, working closely with security teams to ensure risks are mitigated.
- Lead automation and workflow optimization related to device provisioning, patching, encryption, software deployment, and IT processes.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Ansible, SCCM, Intune, and related tools.
- Manage Windows workstation imaging, endpoint configuration, and deployment of COTS and GOTS software.
- Administer and secure Active Directory, including architecture, design, implementation, group policy, and troubleshooting.
- Implement and enforce security best practices across the enterprise environment, including encryption (e.g., BitLocker).
- Maintain backup and recovery solutions for Active Directory and enterprise systems.
- Provide advanced system administration support for Microsoft enterprise management tools, including MECM, Intune, M365, and Azure.
- Support BIOS management, encryption at rest, and administrative tools for enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with IT leadership to continuously improve desktop engineering and endpoint security processes.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience as a Windows Administrator or in a related IT systems role.
- CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or equivalent certification.
- Expert-level experience in:
- Windows workstation support and imaging
- Patch management
- COTS/GOTS software deployment
- Encryption and automation of IT processes
- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory architecture, design, and implementation.
- Strong understanding of Windows Desktop and Server operating systems and associated technologies.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for task automation and system management.
- Strong knowledge of Group Policy management and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated experience implementing security best practices in enterprise environments.
- Experience with BIOS management, BitLocker, Microsoft Administrative Tools, M365, Azure, MECM, Intune, and Entra AD.
