Youth Support Mentor / Family Support Provider
Make a Meaningful Difference in a Young Child's Life under the age of 4 years old.
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated individual to provide one-on-one support for a young child while serving as a positive role model for the family. This position is ideal for someone passionate about working with children, building trusting relationships, and supporting healthy emotional, behavioral, and developmental growth.
Position Overview
As a Youth Support Mentor/Family Support Provider, you will work directly with a young child and their family to provide guidance, encouragement, and practical behavioral support tailored to the child's individual needs. You will help promote emotional well-being, positive development, and healthy family interactions while implementing individualized support strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, individualized support and encouragement for the child and family.
- Implement personalized behavioral and developmental goals as outlined in the child's service plan.
- Build a positive, trusting relationship that promotes emotional security and healthy development.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals to support the child's overall well-being.
- Maintain professionalism, consistency, and reliability in all interactions.
- Encourage healthy communication, coping skills, and age-appropriate developmental milestones.
- Document progress and communicate observations as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience working with infants, young children, or families preferred.
- Background in psychology, social work, child development, early childhood education, special education, behavioral health, or a related field preferred.
- Strong mentoring, teaching, and relationship-building skills.
- Understanding of child development, behavioral support strategies, and family-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, compassionate, dependable, and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday (schedule to be determined based on family needs)
- Occasional evenings or weekends as needed
Compensation
- $25–$40 per hour
- Pay is based on education, experience, and relevant skills.
