Sovereign Care Services is a rapidly growing agency tailored to meet the needs of families and children with autism, developmental disabilities, and behavior challenges. We believe that behavioral support should be readily available and of the highest quality.
We are looking for caring, energetic Registered Behavior Technicians or experienced ABA therapists, to work side by side with us while providing quality care that is uniquely tailored to each client.
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)/ABA Therapist, you will assist Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) in implementing behavior plans specifically designed for children with Autism. You will have the opportunity to nurture children while teaching and guiding them through fundamental skills needed for their day to day activities.
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to clients/children in a clinic, school, or home setting
- Implement behavior plan correctly and as directed by the BCBA
- Accept constructive feedback and actively work to meet areas of need as stated by the BCBA
- Prepare and assist in the construction of instructional materials
- Complete clinical data collection and daily administrative work in a accurate, detailed and timely fashion
- Work as a team and collaborate with team members
- Participate and contribute to in-service training and staff meetings
Maintain confidential information
- Complete authorized therapy hours per client
- Complete all other job-related duties as directed
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High School Diploma, GED required; Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, rehab counseling or closely related field preferred
- Available to work shifts between 8 am to 6 pm.
- Available to work full day schedule 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
- Demonstrated behavior analytic skills
- Knowledgeable of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies
- Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment and maintain all HIPAA requirements
- Adhere to Ethical Guidelines set forth by the BACB organization
- Obtain or possess current CPR/First Aid certification and maintain re-certification every 2 years
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with all employees and departments, maintaining collaborative professional relationships.
- Models exemplary employee performance through own performance, professionalism, and appropriate communication outlined within employee handbook.
- Attains and achieves position competencies in relation to role responsibilities.
- Maintain clear criminal record
- Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
