About the Role:
Join Gateway Residential Services as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities. We are looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals to provide support and encouragement in a nurturing environment.
Avaialble Shifts
Monday to Friday 3pm-11pm working every other weekend
Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9pm-9am rotating between sites between in New Albany and Scottsburg
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
- Implement individualized care plans and monitor clients' progress.
- Facilitate community engagement and recreational activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and care provided.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members for comprehensive care.
- Ensure a safe and clean living environment for all clients.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred.
- Experience in direct support or related fields is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and training.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
