We are seeking a Social Media Manager to help drive our fast-growing digital presence and bring RACER’s voice to life across social and digital platforms.
Role Overview
The Social Media Manager will play a critical role in shaping RACER’s digital presence and engaging motorsport fans worldwide. Working closely with the Vice President of Social Media & Digital Marketing and Social Media Coordinators, this position will own daily execution of RACER and RACER Network’s social media strategy - creating, publishing, and analyzing content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Publishing
● Create and publish daily content across RACER’s social platforms (posts, reels, stories, shorts, graphics, and live coverage).
● Adapt breaking news, long-form articles, and video features and podcasts into social-first formats.
● Collaborate with the editorial and sales team to deliver high-quality, on-brand storytelling.
● Maintain and execute RACER’s content calendars, ensuring timely coverage of races, driver news, and industry stories.
Community Engagement
● Monitor social channels, respond to comments, and foster meaningful fan engagement.
● Build relationships with drivers, teams, and industry figures to amplify reach.
● Spot and leverage cultural and motorsport-related trends to increase visibility.
Analytics & Reporting
● Track KPIs (engagement, reach, impressions, video views, follower growth, etc.) and provide regular performance reports.
● Use insights to refine content strategy and optimize platform performance.
● Monitor competitor activity and industry best practices.
Campaigns & Growth
● Support sponsorship and partner activations with creative, high-performing social content.
● Collaborate on paid social media campaigns and audience growth initiatives.
● Assist in developing innovative social series, branded campaigns, and fan engagement projects.
Cross-Functional Campaign Management & Team Leadership
● Coordinate integrated campaigns across RACER.COM, RACER Magazine, RACER Network, RACER+, and social platforms to ensure alignment and maximize impact.
● Partner closely with editorial, TV scheduling, TV production, Sales, and Creative teams to deliver cohesive multi-channel campaign.
● Work closely with the two Social Media Coordinators (across RACER and RACER Network) to execute daily publishing, live coverage, and partner campaigns.
Oversee workflows, calendars, and deliverables to keep projects on time and consistent with brand standards.

Event Coverage
● Provide on-site and remote coverage of major motorsport events as needed
● Capture and share behind-the-scenes access, live updates, and real-time storytelling.
Qualifications
● 3 to 5 years of professional social media management experience (preferably in sports, media, or entertainment).
● Deep knowledge of motorsports and strong understanding of fan culture.
● Proven track record creating engaging, high-performing content across multiple platforms.
● Strong copywriting and storytelling skills; comfort writing in RACER’s editorial voice.
● Proficiency with social media publishing tools, analytics platforms, and creative software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, etc.).
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
● Flexible schedule with willingness to cover live events, evenings, and weekends as required.
This is a remote position.
Compensation: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
