Lead Therapist — Ellie Mental Health (Madison, Wisconsin)
At Ellie Mental Health, our clinics run best when they're led by people who care — about their clients, their colleagues, and the broader mission of making mental health care more accessible. We're looking for a Lead Therapist who is ready to step into a leadership role without stepping away from the clinical work they love.
This position is a balance of hands-on supervision, clinical leadership, and operational support. If you're someone who brings both insight and energy to a team, and you're motivated by helping other clinicians grow, this might be the right next step.
Supervision & Consultation
- Provide weekly group supervision and lead staff meetings
- Offer 1:1 consultation with therapy staff on productivity, caseload management, and clinical documentation
- Provide clinical supervision to clinicians working under trainee licenses
- Participate in weekly Clinic Director meetings
Clinic Operations & Administration
- Partner with the Clinic Director to monitor clinic capacity and practice patterns
- Support staff in the accurate use of Valant (our EHR system)
- Assist with hiring, including screening, interviewing, and onboarding new clinicians
- Contribute to marketing efforts and administrative changes as needed
Clinic Oversight
- Help manage clinic office schedules and respond to concerns from clients, clinicians, or other stakeholders in a timely way
- Review clinic performance data weekly and identify opportunities to improve care quality and clinic functioning
- Maintain your own clinical caseload
What We're Looking For
- Independent licensure with a Wisconsin-issued clinical practice license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent)
- Wisconsin Supervision Certificate preferred — but if you're working toward it, we still want to hear from you
- Solid understanding of Wisconsin state requirements for mental health practice
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and comfort navigating Electronic Health Record systems

Compensation: $73,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
