We’re opening The Spice & Tea Exchange of Noblesville and building our team from scratch. What’s important to us is creating a welcoming place for our community that’s fun, creative, and full of passion for flavor. For us, this store isn’t just a business; it’s a way to share our love of food and tea, build connections, and create memorable guest experiences.
Sales Associates are the heart of our shop. You’ll engage with guests, offer samples, share knowledge about our products, and ensure everyone leaves with a smile (and something delicious!). This role includes daily retail operations, product handling, merchandising, and delivering a welcoming environment that reflects our commitment to excellence and community.
- Ensure each guest is welcomed into the store and receives exceptional service
- Engage with customers, asking questions, and make personalized recommendations
- Share your passion for our products and help us host demos, classes and other events
- Be part of our social media fun by helping us create content that showcases our store
- Embrace continuous learning and develop in depth product knowledge
- Hand-blend, package and label our spices and teas
- Help keep track of inventory and make sure the store stays well-stocked and inviting
- Preparing to-go drinks and keeping the tea bar running smoothly
- Have fun and build community
- Is friendly, patient, and enjoys creating a welcoming experience for guests
- Can multitask and stay calm while assisting multiple customers at once
- Brings strong customer service skills and communicates clearly (both verbal and written)
- Has retail, hospitality, or food-handling experience (tea knowledge is a plus!)
- Can confidently operate a POS system and handle transactions accurately
- Takes ownership and pride in their work, whether on the floor, at the tea bar, or helping with closing duties
- Enjoys working as part of a team and contributing to shared goals
- Is reliable, punctual, and comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed
- Can occasionally represent the store at local vendor markets or community events
- Is comfortable with technology and open to learning new tools (event planning or social media experience is a bonus!)
- Has an interest in food, flavor, and recipes, and enjoys sharing that knowledge with others
- Has the ability to follow recipes, accurately measure ingredients, and read a scale
- Ability to operate kitchen tools and food equipment safely and correctly
- Physically able to assemble and prepare merchandising displays
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time during shifts
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds safely
- Work in an environment with strong spice and tea aromas
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform light physical tasks as part of daily duties
