Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D) | 3x12s

Location: Washington, DC
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
Contract Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $65/hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract assignment in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will provide expert, patient-centered care to women through all stages of labor and delivery, ensuring the best possible outcomes for both mothers and newborns.

Patient Population & Unit Details

  • Population: Females of childbearing age, pregnant patients (≥17 weeks gestation), laboring patients, and those scheduled for procedures such as:

    • Cesarean sections (C-sections)

    • External cephalic versions

    • Cerclage (rarely performed on unit)

    • Triage for obstetric issues

  • Unit Activity: Admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries (vaginal and C-section)

  • Common Equipment & Systems:

    • Fetal Monitors

    • Cerner and FetaLink for documentation

Qualifications

  • Required Certifications:

    • Basic Life Support (BLS)

    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

    • AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring

  • Licensure:

    • Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington, DC

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience

    • Cerner experience required
