NIGHT/Day shift

Location:  Redding , CA 96001

Pay: $50-$53 per hour

Position Summary:

The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing therapeutic programs to help patients restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities. This position is for per diem night coverage in the Rehab Department, providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery.

Responsibilities:

Physical Therapist - REHAB Per Diem

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history review, functional tests, and physical assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve established goals.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and physical modalities to restore function.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Document patient progress, treatment responses, and plan updates in the EMR accurately and timely.
  • Educate patients and families about treatment plans, exercises, and home programs.
  • Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and case conferences as required.
  • Provide night coverage as needed, ensuring continuity of care for patients in the rehabilitation unit.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Current and valid Physical Therapist license of the state
  • Certifications:
    • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred).

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in a rehab or acute care setting preferred.
    • New graduates with strong clinical experience will also be considered.

  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently during night shifts.
    • Excellent documentation and time management abilities.

Compensation: $50.00 - $53.00 per hour
