PIRTEK, the nation's leading provider of on-site hydraulic and industrial hose replacement, is looking for a motivated and mechanically inclined Shop & Parts Manager to join our team!
The Shop Manager plays an important role in the daily operations of our service center. This position is responsible for maintaining an organized and efficient shop, managing inventory, assisting customers, and supporting our mobile service technicians.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, has strong customer service skills, and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. Mechanical or hydraulic hose experience is a plus. If you enjoy working in a hands-on environment where no two days are exactly alike, PIRTEK could be a great fit!
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shop organization and operations
- Manage and maintain product inventory, including receiving, stocking, and organizing parts and supplies
- Assist customers with walk-in orders, questions, and product needs
- Greet customers, answer incoming phone calls, and provide excellent customer service
- Prepare customer invoices and process payments
- Assist with hydraulic hose fabrication and assembly
- Coordinate deliveries and pickups as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
- Assist with special projects, including service vehicle upfitting and shop improvements
- Provide general support to the service center and mobile service team
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Organized with attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous inventory, parts, automotive, or industrial experience is a plus
- Hydraulic hose experience is a plus, but training will be provided
