Lead Mechanic / Shop Manager (CDL Required)

We’re hiring a hands-on Lead Mechanic / Shop Manager to run day-to-day shop operations and keep our fleet moving. This is a leadership role for someone who knows how to turn wrenches and run a shop efficiently.

What You’ll Do:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment

  • Lead and organize workflow for shop mechanics to keep jobs moving

  • Coordinate repairs with dispatch, yard, and warehouse teams

  • Order parts and manage inventory (filters, hardware, lubes, critical spares)

  • Maintain accurate service/repair records in our system

  • Keep the shop clean, organized, and efficient

  • Ensure all work is done safely and up to standard

Requirements:

  • CDL REQUIRED ( ability to test drive trucks/trailers and help out driving when we are in a pinch)

  • 5+ years experience as a mechanic AND in a lead/shop role

  • Strong diesel/heavy equipment diagnostic skills

  • Ability to manage people, priorities, and shop flow

  • Own tools preferred but not mandatory

  • Welding/fab is a plus ++

  • Strong communication is a must!

Schedule:
Full-time | Monday–Friday (+ occasional Saturdays when 911 repairs are needed)
Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
