Endurance Group is actively seeking an Operations & Security - Subject Matter Expert to support the Joint Interagency Coordination Group (JIACG). The Operations and Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) provide operational coordination and security oversight across all Joint Interagency Coordination Group (JIACG) activities. This position ensures test, training, and assessment events are planned and executed in accordance with established operational standards, mission requirements, and security protocols. The SME integrates security architecture considerations into all phases of capability development to ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) Security Classification Guidance (SCG) and Operations Security (OPSEC) directives.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and synchronize operational events including testing, evaluation, training, and end-user assessments.
  • Serve as the principal security advisor for program activities, ensuring adherence to DoD, Service, and interagency security policies.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the program’s security architecture to ensure appropriate classification, handling, and safeguarding of information and systems.
  • Review and apply published DoD SCG and OPSEC Guidance to all activities, deliverables, and communications.
  • Coordinate with program leadership, test organizations, and user representatives to align operational objectives with approved security procedures.
  • Provide operational input to planning documents, schedules, and readiness assessments.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with operational events and security compliance.
  • Liaise with Service component security offices, test range personnel, and interagency partners to ensure unified execution.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, risk assessments, and briefings for senior leadership.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • 10–15 years of experience in operations planning, security management, or related defense program support.
  • Demonstrated expertise in DoD Security Classification Guidance, OPSEC, and related compliance frameworks.
  • Proven experience coordinating complex operational or test events across multiple stakeholder communities.
  • Strong understanding of defense program security architectures and processes.
  • Experience: 10 plus years of experience with operational planning and coordination in sensitive Department of War activities. 
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI required at time of hire. 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Strong operational planning and event synchronization skills.
  • Knowledge of DoD security policy, information protection, and classification systems.
  • Ability to assess risk and implement mitigation measures in dynamic environments.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
  • Skilled at balancing operational effectiveness with stringent security requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaboration among government, military, and contractor teams.
Work Environment / Travel
Work is primarily conducted within the Pentagon and other secure facilities. Occasional travel to test ranges, training locations, or interagency coordination meetings may be required (up to 20%). 
Compensation: $286,636.80 per year
