The Nurse Director Surgical Services is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care within the surgical services department. This role involves leadership, strategic planning, resource management, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the operating room (OR), perioperative services, sterile processing (SPD), and endoscopy services to ensure high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.
- Collaborating with administrative teams and physicians to enhance services or develop new ones.
- Implementing and overseeing the use of new surgical technologies and techniques, ensuring staff are properly trained and equipment is maintained.
- Facilitating communication and collaboration among different departments within the hospital to ensure seamless patient care.
- Conducting research and analysis on surgical outcomes, using data to drive improvements in surgical practices and patient care.
- Managing the departmental budget responsibly, ensuring appropriate allocation of resources and fiscal accountability.
- Promoting the nursing profession by maintaining a visible and accessible presence in the surgical services areas.
Compensation: $120,000.00 - $147,680.00 per year
