The Role…
A Bartender is responsible for anticipating the needs of both our guests and team members, ensuring they have everything required for a complete and seamless experience. As an ambassador for the hotel and an extension of the community, the Bartender not only prepares and serves beverages but also serves as a guide offering recommendations, sharing knowledge, and creating meaningful interactions.

Bartenders are expected to uphold our standards at all times, ensuring consistency, warmth, and professionalism. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to navigate and resolve conflict, and a thorough understanding of LINE policies, procedures, and expectations.
Due to the dynamic nature of our operation, team members may be required to take on a variety of responsibilities. As an essential part of your role, you are expected to assist others when needed, just as fellow employees are expected to support you. Accordingly, you may be asked to perform additional tasks as required or directed.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
1. Welcome our guests and provide a fun, approachable and exceptional experience. Creating a culture of repeat clientele and new friends.
2. Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
3. Offer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the LINE’s standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness
4. Deliver proactive and consistent hospitality through a strong understanding of the sequence of service and executing it with every guest interaction
5. Develop a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar, i.e. beers, cocktails, specialty drinks, etc., daily specials as well as what is not available. Ensure proper pouring, mixing, blending, etc. of drinks
6. Must have full knowledge of menu items, their ingredients and preparation techniques
7. Be able to recommend cocktails, create new ones pre guest request and pair appropriate beverage with the guest’s meal.
8. Be able to provide full food service to the guests at the bar and on the floor as needed.
9. Possess expert knowledge of the POS system to correctly and strategically coordinate guest
food and beverage orders
10. Stock the bar areas with beer, juices, soft drinks, glassware and condiments
11. Keep the bar area neat and tidy at all times clearing dishes and glassware whenever possible
12. Ensure that the bar is clean, stocked and all side opening and closing duties are completed
13. Follows alcohol awareness procedures and policies at all times
14. Take ownership of all service issues brought to your attention by guests
15. Responsible for receiving payment for all items ordered, receives and correctly handles cash, appropriate receipt and distribution of gratuity
16. Assist coworkers in any task necessary to ensure a great environment for guests and coworkers
17. Execute any additional employee duties requested by management
18. Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the hotel
19. Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested
20. Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions
21. Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements
Knowledge, Requirements and Skills
1. High-School diploma or GED preferred

2. College education or equivalent, hotel or business administration degree, preferred
3. Two (2) years’ related experience
4. Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English Language
5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
6. Ability to multitask
7. Excellent communication skills
8. Able to handle a large volume of guest interactions in an efficient and courteous manner;
9. Work well under pressure, requires being a team player
10. Must have up to date state required certifications
