Fleet Mechanic – Commercial & Specialty Landscape Equipment
Location: Rosharon, Texas
Pay: $22–$30/hr (based on experience)

About the Role
We’re a growing commercial landscape and specialty services company looking for an experienced Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair a diverse equipment fleet.
Our equipment includes:
- Zero-turn and commercial mowers
- Large tractors
- Skid steers
- Large forestry equipment
- Trucks, trailers, and support equipment
This role is critical to keeping our crews productive, safe, and profitable. We’re looking for someone who understands preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and fast, correct repairs — not band-aid fixes.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Fleet Maintenance & Repairs
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Perform preventative maintenance across all fleet assets
- Maintain forestry and specialty equipment to manufacturer standards
- Ensure trucks, trailers, and equipment are road- and jobsite-ready
Downtime Reduction
- Prioritize repairs to keep revenue-producing equipment running
- Communicate clearly with operations on repair timelines
- Identify recurring failures and recommend long-term fixes or replacements
Shop & Inventory Management
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe shop
- Track parts, fluids, filters, and wear items
- Coordinate with vendors, dealers, and outside service providers as needed
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all shop safety protocols
- Ensure equipment meets DOT, OSHA, and jobsite requirements
- Support lockout/tagout and safe operation standards
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years experience as a fleet, heavy equipment, or industrial mechanic
- Strong experience with hydraulics, diesel, and electrical systems
- Familiarity with tractors, skid steers, forestry or construction equipment
- Ability to diagnose problems quickly and repair them correctly
- Organized, dependable, and proactive
- Valid driver’s license
- Welding/fabrication experience is a plus
