Lead Teacher / Prepper Teacher (2-Year-Old Classroom)
The Learning Experience – Sterling, VA
Pay: $17–$21 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday | 8:30am–5:30pm

About the Role

The Learning Experience – Sterling is hiring a passionate and experienced Lead Preppers (2s) Teacher to lead one of our most exciting classrooms! Our Preppers program (2-year-olds) focuses on independence, language development, routines, and social-emotional growth in a fun, play-based daycare and preschool environment.

This is a leadership role for someone who loves toddlers, enjoys running their own classroom, and wants to grow in early childhood education.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage a 2-year-old (Preppers) classroom

  • Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment

  • Implement play-based curriculum and daily learning activities

  • Support language development, social skills, routines, and independence

  • Communicate daily with families about progress and milestones

  • Supervise and support assistant teachers

  • Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety

  • Follow all Virginia childcare licensing and health regulations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Previous childcare experience is required

  • Experience leading or working in a toddler or preschool classroom strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)

  • CPR/First Aid preferred (or willingness to obtain)

  • Must meet all Virginia childcare licensing requirements

  • Reliable, energetic, and confident leading a classroom
