JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for fabricating, machining, and repairing precision tools, dies, gauges, and fixtures used by customers in manufacturing processes. Utilize technical drawings and various equipment such as CNC mills or hard mills to produce high-quality components. Ensure adherence to tight tolerances and specifications while optimizing production efficiency and minimizing downtime. Challenge-oriented personality is important!

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Create precision tools, dies, gauges, jigs, and fixtures according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Utilize various machining techniques such as CNC milling and hard milling to shape and finish metal components to tight tolerances.
  • Perform meticulous inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications and ensure high-quality output.
  • Interpret prints and renderings in order to understand the specifications for the part. Understanding GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) is essential in performing this function.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tooling, such as dimensional inaccuracies, tool wear, or production inefficiencies.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and cost savings in tooling design, fabrication, and maintenance procedures.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, regulatory standards, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Compensation: $30.00 per hour
