Job Description: We are looking for an engaged, motivated, self starter who is a hardworking Super Star and not afraid to work and put forth his/her best effort every day. We are a local business looking to fill a Full-Time position for an experienced Lead Front End Associate with an Immediate Start. The schedule will primarily be weekdays with an occasional weekend day. We need someone who has open availability and can be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays based on the needs of the business.
Position entails greeting our customers as they enter our Hardware Store and is responsible for providing friendly, accurate and efficient checkout services at the cash register. Checkout does not mean just taking the customer's money; it also includes ensuring the customer is satisfied with their shopping experience. Cashiers also direct customers to Floor/Sales associates to help them solve their issue(s) or problems. Answering phone calls and ensure customer inquiries are handled quickly, maintaining a clean and safe checkout area are also critical. Cashier will handle returns, make sale signs, clean, restock product and front/ face product on shelves, inventory product with accuracy and will be responsible to maintain a section of the store. Must become proficient with Point of Sale (POS) understanding all functions and capabilities and ability to trouble shoot any issues and know the SYSTEM inside and out. Transferring inventory, Other back office/administrative tasks such as posting checks, cash handling/deposits and any other assigned administrative projects to help grow our business as assigned. This role will be responsible for organizing training of store associates and following up on training.
Qualifications: Sales driven, hardworking, flexible, intelligent, critical thinking skills, accuracy, math skills. Strong Multi-taking skills are required, Available to work evenings and weekends. We are open Monday-Saturday from 8am-8pm and Sundays 10am-6pm and occasional weekend availability is a must. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with people, can work under pressure, is inquisitive, and most importantly has a positive can-do attitude. Must be sales oriented, customer focused, and good at multi-tasking for this fast-paced environment. Flexibility is a must. Also, must well versed and competent with Microsoft Office products to create and update training documents. Compensation based on experience and skill set.
