SERVPRO is hiring a Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Technician to join our commercial cleaning team. This position focuses on power washing and cleaning commercial kitchen exhaust systems, including hoods, ductwork, filters, and exhaust fans. This work plays a major role in fire prevention, safety, and code compliance for restaurants and commercial kitchens.

This is a full-time position and the schedule may include evenings, nights, and weekends based on customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Power wash and clean kitchen exhaust systems including:
    • Exhaust hoods
    • Ductwork
    • Filters
    • Exhaust fans (including rooftop access when required)

  • Efficiently set up and break down job sites and equipment
  • Protect surrounding areas to keep job sites clean and controlled
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines at all times
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Participate in ongoing safety training and maintain job readiness
  • Problem-solve jobsite challenges and make recommendations for improvement
  • Maintain professional communication and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Perform on-site inspections to assess needs and communicate service recommendations
  • Complete required job documentation and photos

Position Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
  • IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
  • Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
  • Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
