Primrose School of Stafford at Embrey Mill is seeking an Operations Leader to partner with the Franchise Owners and School Executive Director to ensure our school operates with excellence—strong systems, smooth daily routines, and a welcoming experience for every family.

Position Overview

As the School Operations Director, you will play a critical role in ensuring daily operations are consistent, organized, compliant, and family-friendly. This is an operations-first role that supports classroom success through strong systems, consistency, and organization. This leadership role also supports the Executive Director in daily operations, family engagement, enrollment growth, compliance and staff collaboration while ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and customer service.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage front office systems and daily operational workflows

  • Support scheduling logistics, coverage coordination, and time-off tracking

  • Maintain accurate records and operational reporting (including Procare)

  • Support billing and tuition processes, including family account follow-ups and payment coordination

  • Coordinate ordering, inventory, supplies, and vendor support

  • Maintain compliance with Virginia licensing requirements, Primrose standards, and safety regulations

  • Support enrollment operations by coordinating inquiries, tour scheduling, follow-ups, and onboarding paperwork

  • Help keep the school inspection-ready through organized documentation and processes
Admissions & Family Engagement

  • Lead enrollment efforts, including tours, follow-ups, and family communications

  • Build strong relationships with prospective and current families

  • Guide families through the admissions process with warmth and professionalism

  • Support retention initiatives and positive school culture
Customer Experience

  • Serve as a visible leader during arrival and dismissal times

  • Address parent questions and concerns promptly and professionally

  • Uphold a welcoming, solution-oriented environment for families and staff
What We’re Looking For:  We value demonstrated excellence in operations and family service—whether from schools, hospitality, healthcare administration, or other customer-focused environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (Education, Business, or related field)

  • 3+ years of experience in school operations, office management, childcare administration, or related roles

  • Experience with childcare management systems (such as Procare) is a plus

  • Child Development Associate (CDA) or licensure preferred

  • Minimum of 5+ years of early childhood administration experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years of classroom teaching experience

  • Professional, service-minded, and calm under pressure

  • Comfortable building systems, checklists, and processes

  • Open to learning AI tools to improve efficiency and support school operations

Compensation & Schedule

  • Schedule: Flexible; rotating opening and closing shifts

  • Compensation: Base salary $65,000–$75,000, plus performance-based bonuses (total compensation up to $80,000)
