Forklift Operator (Union Position)
Shift: 10am -6:30pm

We are currently seeking reliable Forklift Operators to join our team.
Primary Responsibilities
• Load and unload trucks, receive stock, and put away inventory
• Pull and prepare customer order, palletize/ wrap orders
• Secure (strap down) tractor-trailers after loading
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and yard always
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and quality in all tasks
• Conduct accurate inventory counts and cycle counting for
• Align all communications and actions with the company’s mission, vision, and culture
• Manage time effectively, meet personal and team goals, and collaborate productively with coworkers
• Understand & follow all company policies and procedures
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
• Process and ship orders via Amazon and FedEx
Pre-Employment Requirements
• Drug test, Background check, Reference check, Pass a forklift field test
Qualifications
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience operating a forklift & working in a warehouse environment
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Dependable, punctual, and reliable transportation to arrive and be ready to work at the scheduled time
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Trustworthy, with strong communication skills
· Must be coachable and accountable
• Basic math skills
• Works with a high level of accountability
• Experience with building materials (preferred)
• Bilingual abilities (preferred)
Physical Demands
• Regularly required to sit while operating a forklift
· Required to get on and off the forklift frequently
• Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, crouch, crawl, balance, push, pull, grasp, lift, and handle objects/tools
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Good sense of balance, hand-eye coordination, and ability to judge weights, distances, and heights
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Ability to work in varying temperatures depending on the season

Our Roots
MRS was born in 1931, amid the Great Depression. Robert A. Boyd Sr. rented a warehouse in Paterson, New Jersey, and sold wood from southern mills on consignment. He called his business Manufacturers Reserve Supply, Inc. (MRS). He built a reputation with suppliers and lumber dealers based on trust and service. MRS evolved into a premier wholesale building materials distributor based out of Irvington, NJ, family-owned and operated by four generations of the Boyd family.
