At D1, our promise to our athletes is to say: “You pick the goal, we help you get there” and D1 Coaches are the catalysts for our fulfillment of that promise! D1 Coaches implement and instill the D1 training philosophy into every workout. They exhibit the ability to adapt and customize programs in the workouts in order to tailor them to our athletes. They take a personal stake in the lives of our athletes, maintaining constant personal connections and monitoring their individual progress toward their goals. As a Strength and Conditioning Intern, you will assist our coaches in every aspect of their role and learn from our best-in-class team. The goal is to have fun and gain deep on-the-job knowledge!
- Exhibiting passion, expertise, high energy, a positive and motivating attitude, and strong character
- Ensure D1 workouts & programs are implemented in a safe & consistent manner, use D1’s 5-Star Training System
- Assist in demonstrating movements and monitoring athletes for correct form
- Aid in athlete assessments with the coaches
- Focusing on D1’s mission to inspire and motivate athletes to reach their goals
- Exhibiting D1 character & living by and teaching D1’s core values
- Assist in training, developing, mentoring, and managing D1 athletes
- Being a D1 Ambassador – assisting in on and off-campus training events as well as networking in the community to help drive prospects and revenue, and to promote D1 to increase goodwill and market awareness
- Contributing to marketing efforts through community events, seasonal programs, clinics
- Knowing social media platforms - will be responsible for contributing content daily/weekly
- Contribute to a great member experience, over-the-top customer service, be a source of information
- Check-in members and guests
- Pitching in with cleaning and safety as outlined by the General Manager
- Helping to maintain the training space and equipment; utilizing daily and weekly check-lists
- Adherence to, and promotion of, the D1 Core Values
- Accurate and timely completion of daily job duties
- Successful completion of D1 Level 1 Coaching
- Be genuinely nice

- Have participated in the fitness and athlete development industry
- Participated on competitive sports teams *Collegiate athletics is a plus
- College degree in Sports Management, Exercise Science is a plus
- Be able to physically lift and/or move weight lifting/exercise equipment such as dumbbells, kettlebells, slam balls
- Highly energetic with a “can do” attitude, outgoing, friendly, self-starter, takes initiative, attention to detail
- Has D1 Core Values, strong moral character & servant attitude, drive constantly for knowledge
