Consultative | Finance-Focused | Long-Cycle Sales
Buffalo Solar Solutions is seeking a B2B Commercial Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a consultative, disciplined professional who enjoys working directly with business owners and executives on large, long-term capital projects that reduce operating costs and improve cash flow.
This is not a high-pressure, transactional sales role. You will be supported by an internal team of analysts and engineers and will focus on guiding decision-makers through financially driven infrastructure investments rather than selling on price.
What This Role Looks Like
- Majority inside sales with occasional, purposeful client site visits
- A qualified pipeline is provided — you are not starting from scratch
- Direct conversations with CFOs, CEOs, and owners about:
- Operating expenses and cost control
- Cash-flow and return on investment
- Project structure, incentives, and risk management
- Operating expenses and cost control
- Partner with internal specialists who handle detailed design, modeling, and technical analysis
- Lead the customer relationship from first conversation through signed agreement
No prior solar or technical experience is required. You bring business acumen and sales discipline; our team provides the technical and financial depth.
What You’ll Be Selling
Long-term building and energy infrastructure upgrades that help businesses stabilize and reduce operating costs. Projects are structured as capital investments with clear financial outcomes, not short-term purchases.
Compensation & Growth Path
- $49,000 base salary during ramp-up
- Transition to performance-based compensation after initial commission milestone is reached
