The Water Damage Technician provides essential operational support in the execution of water or fire mitigation and mold remediation services for residential and commercial clients. This role requires technical proficiency, adherence to safety and compliance standards, and the ability to operate specialized equipment under supervision. The technician contributes directly to the high‑quality service and professionalism that Paul Davis Restoration of Northwest Arkansas is known for throughout the region.
- Follow direction from the Team Lead and execute assigned mitigation tasks with accuracy and professionalism.
- Perform water extraction, pumping, and mold remediation activities using approved methods and equipment.
- Assist in the installation, monitoring, and removal of drying systems and/or assist with odor encapsilation.
- Utilize penetrating and non‑penetrating moisture meters to support proper documentation and drying strategy.
- Operate extraction tools, portable extraction units, weighted extraction equipment, scrapers, rinse rods, and related devices under supervision.
- Construct containment systems using polyethylene sheeting, negative air machines, and HEPA filtration units.
- Apply cleaning and disinfecting solutions correctly and perform debris removal in confined or restricted areas.
- Maintain all assigned equipment in clean, serviceable condition.
- Understand and follow all protocols for chemicals used in mitigation processes.
- Attend required safety training, operational meetings, and continuing education provided by Paul Davis.
- Maintain working knowledge of the Paul Davis Water Mitigation Standards and industry best practices.
- Occasional night work, and weekend assignments may be required.
- Perform duties in environments that may involve confined spaces, structural instability, or varying temperatures.
- Water pumping and extraction

- Debris removal and disposal
- Daily equipment maintenance
- Additional duties as assigned
- Ability to identify consumables and understand proper usage and disposal with training
- Knowledge of pump systems and extraction equipment
- Eligibility to operate a motor vehicle under Paul Davis vehicle policy
- Strong sense of urgency, professional demeanor, and positive attitude
- English literacy and fluency
- Commitment to high‑quality workmanship and customer care
- Frequent lifting in excess of 50 lbs
- Occasional assisted lifting of 41 lbs or more
- Ability to maneuver in tight or restricted spaces
- Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and sitting
- Ability to use mobile devices for data collection and time reporting
