Four Daughters Millwork is seeking an experienced Procurement Agent to lead purchasing and material planning for our custom architectural millwork manufacturing operations.
This role goes beyond placing orders — you will own vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, forecast demand, and ensure our shop has the right materials at the right time and cost. Your work directly impacts production efficiency, profitability, and on-time project delivery.

Strategic Procurement:
- Lead sourcing and purchasing for lumber, sheet goods, laminates, hardware, finishes, and shop supplies
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors
- Develop preferred supplier partnerships
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative products
- Manage long-lead and high-risk materials proactively
Inventory & Planning:
- Forecast material demand based on production schedules and historical usage
- Establish min/max levels and reorder strategies
- Monitor inventory accuracy and turnover
- Reduce excess or obsolete stock
- Support cycle counts and annual physical inventory
Production Support:
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Drafting, and Shop Leads on material takeoffs and job requirements
- Prioritize purchases to prevent shop downtime
- Expedite critical items when schedules shift
Vendor & Systems Management:
- Evaluate vendor performance (cost, quality, delivery)
- Maintain purchasing data in ERP/MRP systems
- Track spend and prepare reports for leadership
- Ensure accurate documentation and invoice reconciliation
Required Experience
- 7–10 years of procurement/purchasing experience in manufacturing or construction-related industries
- Proven experience negotiating pricing and managing vendors
- Strong inventory control and material planning background
- Proficient in Excel and ERP/MRP systems
- Highly organized with strong analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Purchasing and inventory experience in architectural millwork, cabinetry, woodworking, or similar manufacturing
- Knowledge of:
- Hardwood lumber and plywood
- MDF/TFL/laminates
- Cabinet and architectural hardware
- Adhesives, finishes, and shop consumables
- Experience reading BOMs, takeoffs, or shop drawings
- Lean or continuous improvement exposure
- Familiarity with LEED material compliance and sustainable sourcing practices
Compensation: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour
