Preschool Director (Childcare Center Director)
Location: The Learning Experience – Byron Center, MI
Pay: $60,000 per year
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Byron Center is seeking an experienced Preschool Director to lead daily operations of our licensed early childhood education center. This role is ideal for a director-qualified leader who excels in team development, compliance, enrollment growth, and creating a positive, high-quality learning environment for children and families.
Our center serves children from infancy through school age in a structured, play-based setting that supports academic readiness and social-emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily preschool and childcare center operations
- Maintain full compliance with Michigan childcare licensing and health regulations
- Lead, coach, and support teaching staff to ensure consistent program quality
- Support implementation of The Learning Experience L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Manage staffing, scheduling, payroll support, and budget performance
- Drive enrollment through tours, family engagement, and community outreach
- Build strong relationships with families, staff, and the local community
- Ensure a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of preschool or childcare center management experience
- Must meet Michigan Director Qualification Requirements
- Strong knowledge of licensing, operations, and early childhood best practices
- Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills
