Position Summary
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the facility This role supports a clean, safe, and functional environment for residents and staff by addressing maintenance needs in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair needs.
- Inspect facility systems and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
- Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and repair records.
- Assist with maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies; notify management when replacements are needed.
- Support seasonal tasks such as snow removal, landscaping, and minor groundskeeping.
- Follow all OSHA safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with management and staff to address operational maintenance needs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training in building maintenance preferred.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of general maintenance experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Work Environment
- This position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
- May require occasional evening, weekend, or on-call hours for emergencies.
Compensation: $55,000.00 per year
