Physical Therapist — Clinic Director Track Sports & Orthopedics | Coppermine Racquet & Fitness Club Mount Washington, Baltimore, MD
You're a good physical therapist. What's next?
Maybe you're a few years into outpatient practice and have become the clinician people trust. You care about getting better clinically, you may already mentor younger clinicians, and you find yourself thinking about how your clinic could run better.
You're interested in leadership... but you don't want to stop being a physical therapist to become a manager.
That's who we're looking for.
Peake Physical Therapy is hiring an experienced outpatient PT for our clinic inside Coppermine Racquet & Fitness Club. For the right clinician, this is a Clinic Director track, with progressive mentorship and responsibility leading toward ownership of the clinic outcomes.
You don't need to have been a Clinic Director before. You do need to want to become one.
The Opportunity
You'll begin with an orthopedic and sports caseload while progressively developing skills in leading and mentoring clinicians, clinic operations and economics, culture, referral development, marketing, and decision-making with increasing autonomy, inside a facility that gives you real access to fitness and athletic equipment for return-to-sport work.
This isn't a title handed to you to figure out. It's a deliberate path from excellent clinician to excellent clinic leader.
Why Peake?
Stay a clinician while becoming a leader. We believe the best clinic leaders are excellent clinicians who want more responsibility, not managers who've left practice behind. You'll keep treating while receiving protected leadership mentorship and taking on ownership as you grow.
Real leadership development. An internal pathway covering people leadership, coaching, operations, business literacy, marketing, and strategy — working directly with Peake ownership.
Advanced clinical mentorship. Peake is clinician-owned and led by fellowship-trained PTs. You'll get direct mentorship in clinical reasoning, manual therapy, and complex case management, with support toward AAOMPT-recognized fellowship training modeled after the IMPACT Fellowship.
A reasonable clinical model. We avoid the high-volume outpatient grind. Full-time productivity target is approximately 51 visits/week, adjusted as leadership responsibilities grow. The goal is excellent care and a healthy clinic, not maximum volume.
Compensation & Benefits
- $90,000–$100,000 base, depending on experience and leadership readiness
- Profit-sharing as Clinic Director
- Long-term clinical leadership / partnership pathway
- Health, dental, vision; 401(k) with 3% match
- PTO, CE support, in-house dry needling certification
- Advanced orthopedic mentorship
- Loan repayment / relocation assistance considered for the right candidate
Who We're Looking For
Roughly 3+ years of outpatient ortho/sports experience, though we care more about trajectory than the exact number. You might be a fit if coworkers naturally come to you for help, you take ownership without being asked, you're curious about how clinics operate and grow, and you can imagine eventually running one — even if you haven't yet.
Maryland PT license (or eligibility) required. Prior formal leadership experience is helpful but not required.
