Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Datacenter & Virtualization Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on experience in managing enterprise datacenter infrastructure and VMware ESXi environments. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale virtualization and datacenter solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage VMware ESXi, vCenter, clusters, HA, and DRS environments
- Lead datacenter infrastructure operations including compute, storage, and virtualization
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and infrastructure optimization
- Manage host upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, and hardware refresh
- Configure and manage enterprise storage (SAN/NAS) integration
- Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
- Handle complex troubleshooting across virtualization, storage, and server hardware
- Ensure security hardening and compliance within the virtual infrastructure
- Work closely with network, security, and application teams
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers
Mandatory Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in Datacenter Operations & Virtualization
- Strong hands-on expertise in VMware ESXi & vCenter (enterprise scale)
- Experience with HA, DRS, vMotion, SRM
- Experience with enterprise storage technologies (EMC, NetApp, Pure, etc.)
- Strong understanding of server hardware (Dell, HPE, Cisco UCS)
- Experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation
- Knowledge of backup tools (Veeam, Commvault, etc.)
