School-Based Behavioral Health Supervisor (LICSW / LPC)

At Paving the Way MSI, you will do more than supervise clinicians—you will help shape the future of behavioral health services within schools while mentoring and developing the next generation of mental health professionals.
As a School-Based Behavioral Health Supervisor, you will oversee a team of clinicians embedded within school communities throughout Washington, DC. You will serve as a leader, mentor, coach, and advocate, ensuring students receive high-quality behavioral health services while supporting clinicians in their professional growth.
Many of the youth and families we serve experience trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, grief, family conflict, and other barriers that impact their success both inside and outside of the classroom. In this role, you will help ensure that students receive compassionate, effective, and culturally responsive care while building strong partnerships with schools, families, and community stakeholders.

What You'll Do
As a School-Based Behavioral Health Supervisor, you will provide leadership, clinical guidance, and operational oversight for clinicians serving students and families across multiple school communities.
You will:
• Lead and supervise School-Based Behavioral Health Clinicians across up to six schools
• Provide clinical supervision, coaching, mentorship, and professional development to support clinician growth
• Support clinicians in managing complex cases, crisis situations, and school-based behavioral health challenges
• Partner with school administrators, families, community stakeholders, and government agencies to support student success
• Monitor program performance, quality outcomes, and compliance with program standards
• Prepare monthly reports and support continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with DBH, school leadership, and PTWMSI leadership to strengthen services and school partnerships
Required Qualifications
• Mast'er's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field
• Active DC LICSW or LPC license in good standing
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
Preferred Qualifications
• 3–5 years of behavioral health experience
• Experience in school-based, outpatient, community-based, or behavioral health settings
• Experience collaborating with schools, government agencies, and community organizations
Compensation: $80,000.00 - $86,000.00 per year
