Role: Pre-Kindergarten Teacher at Primrose School of Chapel Hill at Briar Chapel - no nights, no weekends!
Love working with children but want a school that’s calm, organized, and truly supportive?
At Primrose School of Chapel Hill at Briar Chapel, we’ve built a workplace where teachers feel respected, supported by leadership, and set up to succeed — not burned out. Many of our teachers stay for years because this is a school that values people, not just ratios.
We are hiring both Lead Teachers and Assistant/Support Teachers.
Why teachers choose our school
- Present, supportive leadership (owners & directors on-site)
- Structured classrooms with consistent schedules
- Lesson plans & materials provided — no late-night prep
- Respect for your time and predictable schedules
- Engaged families who value education
- Positive, team-oriented culture
What you’ll do
- Support or lead a Pre-K classroom in a warm, engaging environment
- Help children grow socially, emotionally, and academically
- Build positive relationships with families and teammates
- Use Primrose’s Balanced Learning® curriculum (we train you)
What we’re looking for
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- North Carolina Early Childhood Credential (NCECC) or equivalent preferred
- Early childhood experience preferred (not required)
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to Chapel Hill, NC
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs for child safety
Great fit if you:
- Want stability and support — not chaos
- Enjoy working with children in a structured environment
- Are looking for a long-term role, not just a stopgap
Our School Culture
We are not a “survival mode” school.
We are a locally owned and operated school, and that makes a difference. Our leadership team is on-site, accessible, and actively invested in every classroom — stepping in to support when needed, not managing from behind a desk. We believe in clear communication, strong systems, and accountability that creates stability.
We dedicate real time to developing our teachers. From mentoring new educators to helping assistants grow into lead roles, we build confident professionals who see early childhood education as a career — not just a job.
Our team loves coming to work because they feel supported and respected. The environment is structured but warm, professional yet positive — where we work hard, laugh often, and share the same goal: helping children thrive.
