This job description is for a Restoration Project Manager (Water, Fire, Mold, Reconstruction) focusing on high-level customer service, meticulous project documentation, and operational efficiency.
Job Summary
The Restoration Project Manager acts as the primary point of contact for homeowners, property managers, and insurance adjusters, leading projects from initial emergency mitigation through final reconstruction. The ideal candidate ensures all work meets IICRC standards, stays within budget, and maintains a high degree of quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Service & Communication
- Provide empathetic, professional, and clear communication to homeowners, often during emergency, high-stress situations.
- Serve as the main point of contact, providing proactive updates to customers, insurance adjusters, and vendors throughout the project.
- Manage client expectations to ensure high satisfaction, aiming for positive online reviews.
2. Detailed Project Management & Estimation
- Visit job sites to inspect, assess, and document damage; create detailed, accurate scopes of work.
- Utilize Xactimate software to create, review, and negotiate estimates with insurance adjusters. A plus.
- Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets, timelines, and change orders to ensure profitability.
- Schedule, coordinate, and supervise field crews and subcontractors (drywall, paint, flooring, etc.).
3. Quality Control & Documentation (Detail Oriented)
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards, local regulations, and building codes.
- Review all job site documentation, including photos, daily logs, and moisture logs, to ensure accuracy and facilitate proper billing.
- Secure necessary authorizations, sign-offs, and Certificates of Satisfaction from customers.
4. Operations & Safety
- Ensure proper job site documentation and maintain safe work practices.
- Manage production expenses, including equipment and material assets.
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for emergency response.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 1+ years of restoration project management experience (water, fire, mold).
- Software: Proficiency in Xactimate (a plus but not required) and industry software.
- Certifications: IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT) are highly preferred but not required.

- Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Capable of climbing ladders, working at heights, and working in tight spaces (attics, crawl spaces).
Compensation: $4,500.00 per month
