The Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator is committed to GenerateHope’s core values,
mission, and vision, and has the ability and experience to facilitate healthy volunteer
relationships and develop new community partnerships. This individual works collaboratively
with GenerateHope’s Program and Development Teams. This is a part-time position.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaboration with Programs
● Uphold and model GenerateHope's policies, procedures, and core values in all aspects
of the role.
● Maintain consistent, transparent communication with the Program Director and
Recovery and Transition Program team to stay informed about program needs.
● Collaborate with staff to ensure volunteers are placed where they are best suited to
support our programs.
Awareness and Prevention
● Cultivate external partnerships that align with the mission of GenerateHope and
expand the organization’s reach.
● Lead or support events, presentations, and outreach efforts to social clubs, churches,
community groups, and other key stakeholders.
● Partner with Donor Relations to develop and coordinate fundraisers and awareness
campaigns.
Community Discovery and Coordination
● Establish and maintain a system to organize and track volunteer inquiries, profiles,
communications, and interactions.
● Work closely with program staff to interview and assess potential volunteer candidates.
● Engage with community partners to assess their fit with GenerateHope's needs,
ensuring they bring valuable expertise and resources.
● Represent GenerateHope at community events to promote volunteer opportunities
and strengthen relationships with local groups.
Volunteer Support and Development
● Oversee volunteer scheduling and communicate clear expectations for volunteer roles
within the program.
● Collaborate with the Program Director(s) to offer ongoing training, feedback, and
encouragement to volunteers.
● Foster a culture of stewardship among staff, ensuring that volunteers feel valued and
supported, and that they have a sense of purpose.
Work with Donor Relations to express appreciation and gratitude to volunteers throughout
their service and afterward.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree desired, along with experience in volunteer and community partnership
development

● Proven coordination and people skills
● High energy, positive attitude, team player, self-motivated, and attention to detail
● Strong verbal and written communication skills
● Familiarity with human trafficking and San Diego’s continuum of care services
● Computer literacy
Compensation: $20.00 per hour

GenerateHope is a safe place for survivors of sex trafficking to heal and find restoration in long-term housing and trauma-informed therapy, education, and vocational support. Since recovery from sexual exploitation is a long-term process, GenerateHope provides safety, community, and individualized life skills support to work through the deep trauma and discover a healthy, purpose-filled life.

We serve sex trafficking victims by offering a real way out. GenerateHope is a faith-based organization providing long-term, comprehensive programs to women who have been sexually trafficked, so that they are able to reintegrate into society and walk powerfully into their futures.
To date, over 185 women have experienced the acceptance, care, and resources within the GenerateHope system.

GenerateHope’s vision is to see survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation recover from the abuse and trauma of the sex trade. It is also our goal to educate our community and work with law enforcement and task forces to eradicate human trafficking.
