- Create a safe and engaging classroom environment
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans
- Support cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
- Use play-based learning to encourage creativity
- Plan arts, music, storytelling, and outdoor activities
- Observe and document children’s progress
- Communicate with parents about milestones
- Collaborate with staff to enhance learning
- Maintain licensing and safety standards
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom
- Passion for early childhood education
- Experience as a preschool or daycare teacher preferred
- Knowledge of standards and requirements of the National Association for the Education of Young Children
- Experience using the curriculum from Teaching Strategies in classroom instruction
- CDA or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Patience, empathy, and creativity
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
