Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Psychometrist to join our neurology team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering, scoring, and recording standardized neuropsychological tests under the supervision of a licensed neuropsychologist. This position plays a vital role in supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning for patients with neurological conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer standardized neuropsychological and cognitive assessment batteries to patients under the direction of a supervising neuropsychologist
- Score and record test results accurately and in a timely manner
- Prepare and organize patient testing materials prior to appointments
- Maintain detailed and confidential patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide clear instructions to patients and ensure their comfort throughout the testing process
- Assist in the preparation of written reports and summaries of test results for review by the supervising provider
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical staff regarding testing procedures
- Manage scheduling and coordination of neuropsychological testing appointments
- Perform general medical assistant duties such as rooming patients and documenting in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Maintain inventory of testing materials and supplies
- Adhere to all office policies, procedures, and compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field preferred
- Prior experience as a psychometrist or neurology setting strongly preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential a plus
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations, including those with cognitive impairments
Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
