The Production Coordinator provides strategic support to the Production Manager and serves as the primary administrator for shop data and inventory. This role is responsible for the integrity of the supply chain, the accuracy of the warehouse, and the optimization of the backend systems that support the production workflow.
This position requires a hands-on leader who actively participates in production operations and supports the team on the floor as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Ownership: Manages the physical count, organization, and ordering of all raw materials (fabric, hardware, thread, etc); ensures 100% accuracy between physical stock and the digital system.
- Systems & Data Management: Acts as the primary administrator for production software; builds and updates Bills of Materials (BOMs) and enhances backend operational and production workflows.
- Quality Assurance (Pre & Post): Conducts pre-inspection of cut-parts/kits and final post-inspection of finished goods to ensure all items meet the "Gold Standard" before fulfillment as required by the Production Manager.
- Receiving & Logistics: Receives incoming raw materials from vendors; verifies packing slips against physical arrivals and updates the digital inventory system immediately.

- Accounting & Receivables: Marks raw materials as received, manages the "Invoices Payable" process for materials and supplies, ensuring all outstanding invoices are verified and sent to accounting.
- Maintenance & Support: Orders supplies based on production and building needs, manages maintenance logs for all machinery to ensure zero downtime.
- Production Support: Provides direct support to the Production Manager, including kitting materials for home sewers and assisting with final quality sweeps of finished products.
- Design Support: Assists in prototyping, drafting, costing, and time studies as needed.
- General Support: Performs any other tasks and duties assigned by management to support company growth, including but not limited to Shopify/e-commerce support.
