Per Diem PACU/ Operating Room RN – Ophthalmology
Location: St. Michael's Surgery Center | 1018 West Bay Drive, Largo, FL Job Type: Per Diem / PRN
We are looking for an experienced OR Nurse [or Surgical Tech] to join St. Michael's Surgery Center in Largo on a per diem basis.

Smooth Workflow: Ophthalmology is high-volume, but our team is experienced and well-coordinated. We run a tight schedule in a modern, 7,500 square-foot facility.
The Role
- Circulate [or scrub] for a variety of ophthalmic procedures, including complex cataracts, corneal transplants, eye shunt implants, and retinal surgeries.
- Maintain a sterile, safe, and efficient environment in the OR.
- Assist with pre-op and PACU flow, including patient assessment and discharge.
- Work closely with our surgeons and dedicated clinical team to keep the surgical day moving safely.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room or Ambulatory Surgery Center experience. (Ophthalmology experience is preferred, but we are happy to train someone with strong OR fundamentals).
- Active, unencumbered FL RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS.
- Strong pacing—you need to be comfortable in a fast-turnaround environment and work well as part of a close-knit team.
Compensation: $40.00 per hour
