Field Sales & Service Technician — Pirtek Savannah / Hilton Head

The Role

This is a sales-first field role with hands-on service work. You’ll operate a company vehicle, respond to service calls, build and replace hydraulic hoses in the field, and grow accounts across the territory.

When service calls slow down, you’ll be out prospecting—meeting maintenance leaders, fleet managers, and operators who rely on equipment every day. If you enjoy being in the field, solving real problems, and getting paid based on what you produce, this role offers strong earning potential and advancement.

What You’ll Do

Win and Grow Accounts

Prospect and acquire new accounts across the territory using warm and cold leads
Build relationships with maintenance managers, fleet managers, operations leaders, and plant supervisors
Identify additional equipment needs and expand services within existing accounts
Turn emergency service calls into repeat customers and preferred vendor relationships
Represent Pirtek professionally with local businesses and industry groups

Deliver Excellent Field Service

Follow Pirtek and industry safety standards at all times
Assemble and replace hydraulic hoses at customer sites
Troubleshoot leaks and equipment failures
Work with common hydraulic fittings and thread types (JIC, ORB, ORFS, BSPP, DIN)
Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and accurate service documentation

Stay Organized and Accountable

Track customer visits, calls, wins, and follow-ups
Maintain a simple pipeline and territory activity plan
Participate in occasional meetings at the home office

What We’re Looking For

Required

Based in Greater Savannah, GA or Hilton Head, SC
Strong sales instincts and a history of hitting goals or quotas
Self-driven and comfortable managing a fast-moving field schedule
Confident communicator with industrial decision-makers
Ability to sell value, overcome objections, and close business
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record

Strong Plus

Experience in manufacturing, logistics/3PL, heavy equipment, fleet maintenance, construction, utilities, waste, or municipal services
Mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience with hydraulics, equipment service, or industrial maintenance
Comfort working in real-world industrial environments

Work Environment

Territory-based work across warehouses, plants, yards, and job sites
Exposure to oil, grease, lubricants, and industrial conditions is normal
Ability to stand, move, and lift equipment up to 50 lbs
