- Assist the General Manager in leading, coaching, and developing the restaurant team.
- Train, assign, and monitor staff to ensure work quality and adherence to company standards.
- Foster a positive team culture built on accountability, respect, and continuous improvement.
- Help motivate staff to maintain strong performance, teamwork, and professionalism.
- Support leadership development within the team by encouraging growth and mentoring employees.
- Support the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth and efficient service.

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized restaurant environment.
- Ensure compliance with all health department regulations, food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and workplace safety procedures.

- Support training of service staff to ensure they are knowledgeable about the menu and service standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and staff.

- Work closely with the kitchen leadership team to maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Ensure all products leaving the kitchen meet Happy Day’s standards for taste and appearance.
- Assist in supporting menu development and operational improvements when needed.
- Assist in managing labor, inventory control, waste reduction, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor operational reports and maintain awareness of restaurant performance and profitability.
- Utilize restaurant systems including HotSchedules, Jolt, Toast, BeerSaver, and other management tools.
- Support scheduling, reporting, and administrative responsibilities as needed.
- Maintain high expectations for cleanliness, organization, and employee appearance.
- Demonstrate professionalism, strong communication, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Remain calm and effective during high-volume and time-sensitive situations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager, VP of Operations, or President.
- Commitment to upholding Happy Day’s standards of excellence.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a large team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills.
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn restaurant management software.
- Basic knowledge of full-service restaurant operations and service procedures.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Flexible schedule with availability to work a minimum of 50 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Must have or be able to obtain ServSafe Manager Certification.
