Sales Associate Compensation
Dick Van Dyke Inc. allows the Sales Associate to choose between two methods of pay while starting out.
- Base Salary: $32,000 for the first 12 months of employment + 7% commission
- Straight 14% commission + training pay of $5400.00 over a span of 12 weeks
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service
- Answer customer questions and engage them with merchandise
- Guide customers to appropriate products and services within the store
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Actively seek out and assist customers on the sales floor
- Maintain strong product knowledge and stay informed on new offerings
- Contribute to departmental sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
- Handle customer concerns professionally and partner with the customer service team to resolve issues
- Maintain an organized, clean, and visually appealing store floor, including displays and merchandise
- Proven success in sales or customer‑facing roles
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Personable, friendly, and customer‑focused attitude
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced retail environment
- Understanding of basic sales principles
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
- 5 days paid vacation after 90 days
