Doping Control Coordinator 

USADA is seeking a dedicated and driven person to help our organization fulfill its mission to "Stand with athletes to champion their right to clean sport, inspire true and healthy sport, and promote the integrity of sport.” This is an incredibly exciting time to join Team USADA, as we continue to grow our Anti-Doping program and work to support major international competitions such as the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2026 (Milan), and 2028 (Los Angeles). New team members will have the chance to help ensure USADA is well-positioned in the near and long term for these opportunities as we look to the future with our efforts to protect clean athletes. With the 2028 Games on domestic soil, there will also be opportunities and growth potential over the years for USADA team members to underpin the organizing committee’s commitment to a clean Games.

JOB SUMMARY
The Doping Control Coordinator leads the distribution of Out-of-Competition (OOC) and In-Competition (IC) testing assignments, ensuring testing is conducted efficiently and in alignment with USADA and WADA standards. The Doping Control Coordinator maintains a comprehensive understanding of national and international events to anticipate testing needs and proactively support timely, strategic test distribution and logistics. In collaboration with internal teams and external partners, the Doping Control Coordinator contributes to the overall quality, consistency, and delivery of the testing program, supporting USADA’s mission to preserve the integrity of sport.

 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate and assign all OOC and IC tests established by USADA testing teams, ensuring the accurate identification of required Sample Collection Personnel (SCP), approval of SCP travel authorizations, minimal revisions to original test session instructions and the timely and precise completion of all testing documentation.
  • Obtain and maintain an understanding and knowledge of national and international events to assign and manage SCP for efficient use of resources and requirements for Doping Control Stations and arrange for sufficient supplies for DCOs in collaboration with the Logistics Coordinator. 
  • Deliver timely and high-quality customer support to SCP, ensuring effective communication and guidance before, during, and after testing missions to promote best practices and successful test execution.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with fellow Doping Control Coordinators to organize bulk test assignments and strategically allocate resources in remote or logistically challenging locations.
  • Build relationships with international partners and third-party collection services to coordinate testing on athletes who live, train, or compete internationally.
  • Monitor the accuracy and quality of all testing and documentation, ensuring completeness and compliance, and provide timely feedback or follow-up actions to DCO Resource Manager to maintain high standards of testing integrity.
  • Process incoming unsuccessful attempt report forms (as well as other SCP paperwork) and provide a detailed summary of the unsuccessful attempts to ensure accurate review for potential Whereabouts Failures. 
  • Coordinate and communicate with National Governing Bodies (NGBs)/event organizer to ensure appropriate volunteer staffing and logistical support are arranged for IC testing in collaboration with Olympic & Paralympic Programs department.
  • Oversee the strategic planning of test assignments to maintain the unpredictability of testing without advance notice, regularly reviewing past testing history and patterns to inform data-driven decisions and preserve the integrity of the testing program.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness in assigning and supporting testing for world or national record ratification testing.
  • Collaborate with Client Services team to provide accurate pricing data for potential sample collections.
  • Oversee multiple email inboxes, filing and distributing information to the appropriate contacts.
  • Develop and support shipping plans to ensure the timely, secure, and compliant delivery of samples to laboratories and equipment to DCOs/events.
  • Compiles, maintains, and updates testing documentation in various databases by required deadlines.
  • Additional administrative support, as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS/BA degree in Sports Management or related field, preferred or equivalent and applicable experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess data and drive efficiencies and solutions toward team projects and goals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task, working on multiple projects at one time.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to partner with others across the organization to meet various needs.
  • Able to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Values Integrity, Justice, and Respect among internal and external constituents. 
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
 
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in sport.
  • Proficiency in database management.
Compensation: $19.34 - $28.60 per hour
