About the Role
Visions Door 2 Door is looking for reliable and caring Bus Aides to help ensure students have a safe and positive ride to and from school. Bus Aides work alongside the driver to support students during transport and follow clear procedures for safety, communication, and student accountability.
This position is part-time with morning and afternoon routes, making it a great fit for early risers, parents with school-age children, retirees, or anyone looking for meaningful work in the community.
What You’ll Do
- Assist students in safely getting on and off the bus or van
- Help ensure students remain seated and follow safety rules
- Support the driver in maintaining a calm, orderly, and safe environment
- Provide age‑appropriate guidance and assistance to students when needed
- Follow company procedures for safety, student accountability, and communication
- Communicate respectfully with students, drivers, school staff, and families
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for candidates who are:
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working with children and diverse student needs
- Patient, calm, and respectful under pressure
- Able to work early morning and afternoon routes on school days
- Team players who support both the driver and the students
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must pass a drug test
- Must complete a physical exam and TB test
- Must pass a background check
- Ability to assist students safely when entering or exiting the vehicle (including stairs and curb areas)
