Job Description
The Plan Review Specialist plays a key role in the organization's operational process, helping to ensure that each project meets the company's standards of quality, technical accuracy, and excellence in customer service. This position helps ensure that the final customer experience reflects the delivery of high-quality products, innovative solutions, and high-level professional service.
The position acts as a liaison between the Design and Manufacturing areas, ensuring the correct and timely delivery of accurate CAD files for the production process. It also serves as a point of connection with the Purchasing department, providing accurate information that allows the proper processing of special orders and guarantees the availability of the required materials.

 
Main Responsibilities
1. Technical review of projects
  • Review the designs generated by the sales/design team.
  • Validate measurements, configurations, materials and technical specifications.
  • Confirm that projects are manufacturable and meet production standards.
2. Preparation for production
  • Convert approved designs to production orders.
  • Prepare cut lists, materials, and hardware.
  • Ensure that all components are correctly specified.
3. Pre-manufacturing quality control
  • Detect inconsistencies in measurements or configurations.
  • Identify potential installation conflicts.
  • Verify that the design complies with safety and quality standards.
4. Interdepartmental coordination
  • Work in coordination with:
    • Sales
    • Designers
    • Production
    • Installation
  • Request clarification or adjustments when necessary.
5. Process optimization
  • Identify opportunities to improve production flow.
  • Reduce rework and manufacturing errors.
  • Document best practices.
6. Systems and documentation management
  • Enter project information into production systems.
  • Maintain organized and updated technical documentation.

Key Competencies

  • Interpretation of plans and designs.
  • Knowledge of cabinet manufacturing processes or storage systems.
  • Management of design or production software (e.g. CAD, Closet design software).
  • Knowledge of materials, fittings and components.

Job Requirements
Education
  • Technical or university degree in:
    • Design
    • Engineering
    • Manufacturing
    • Architecture
    • Related field
Experience
  • 2–5 years in:
    • Manufacturing
    • Woodworking
    • Technical Design
    • Production
    • Modular Systems or Cabinetry
Abilities
  • High level of organization.
  • Ability to work with multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Intermediate computer and technical software management.
Compensation: $11.00 per hour
