- Manage reconstruction projects from mitigation handoff through final completion
- Review mitigation documentation, drying logs, photos, and scopes
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and work plans
- Coordinate all reconstruction trades (carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Conduct regular job site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety
- Develop and maintain referral relationships with insurance adjusters, agents, and referral sources
- Prepare and review reconstruction estimates and scopes using estimating software (Xactimate preferred)
- Submit and manage supplements and change orders
- Track job costs including labor, materials, and subcontractors
- Ensure projects stay within approved budgets and margins
- Serve as the primary point of contact during the reconstruction phase
- Communicate with homeowners, property managers, and insurance adjusters
- Manage project timelines, scope changes, and expectations
- Participate in site meetings, inspections, and final walk-throughs
- Schedule and supervise subcontractors and vendors
- Ensure subcontractors meet quality, timeline, and safety standards
- Order materials and coordinate deliveries
- Resolve subcontractor performance issues when necessary
- Ensure work meets company standards and building codes
- Manage punch lists and corrective work
- Coordinate final inspections and project closeout documentation
- Ensure customer satisfaction at project completion
- 3+ years of project management experience in reconstruction or restoration construction
- Experience managing residential and/or commercial rebuild projects
- Understanding of reconstruction sequencing after mitigation work
- Experience with Xactimate or similar estimating software
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
- Experience working with insurance carriers and claims-driven reconstruction
- Knowledge of building codes and permitting processes
- IICRC certifications (helpful but not required)
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Attention to detail and cost-control mindset
- Leadership and subcontractor coordination skills
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
