Children’s Counseling Center of Fredericksburg
The Children’s Counseling Center of Fredericksburg is seeking a licensed therapist to join our growing team. This role is focused on providing high-quality, compassionate care to children and adolescents, with expanding services to include family and marriage counseling.
Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled clinician with experience in pediatric trauma, family systems, and/or EMDR therapy. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children while also supporting families as a whole unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents
- Conduct family and/or marriage counseling sessions
- Utilize evidence-based approaches, including trauma-informed care and EMDR (preferred)
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with providers and staff as part of an integrated care team
- Support a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients and families
Qualifications
- Active licensure in the state of Virginia (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
- Experience in pediatric trauma strongly preferred
- Training or certification in EMDR highly preferred, but not required
- Experience in family or marriage counseling preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
