About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll functions. The Payroll Manager for GMi is responsible for paying all GMi field personnel in accordance with GMi policies and procedures. This is a multi-functional position that will require the following skills/knowledge: Excellent written & verbal communication skills; understanding of child support, workers' compensation, payroll tax, and Texas payday laws; and good organizational/filing skills.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the issuance of weekly payroll checks to field personnel.
- Report payroll-related information to internal users as well as external (State of TX, Expert Pay (child support, etc.).
- Remit payroll taxes to the Federal Government in accordance with prescribed timelines.
- Basic office duties like scanning, organizing, etc.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years working on a Payroll team and 2-3 years in a leadership role.
- Construction experience is a big plus
- Strong knowledge of Federal and State labor laws
- Strong operational mindset with proven process design and documentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
