HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, and repair sheet metal ductwork and HVAC systems according to specifications and safety standards
- Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal components using hand tools and power equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate installation
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to complete projects on time and within budget
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on existing HVAC systems
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and company policies
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, sheet metal fabrication, and installation techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, EPA) preferred
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in confined or elevated spaces
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in HVAC sheet metal installation and fabrication
- Strong knowledge of HVAC duct systems and installation practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in sheet metal work
Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
