đŸŸ About the Role
As Kennel Department Leader, you will oversee kennel operations while maintaining the highest standards of animal care. Responsibilities include:
  •  Leading, training, and mentoring kennel staff 
  •  Coordinating schedules and workflow for daily boarding care (feeding, walking, cleaning, monitoring) 
  •  Ensuring clean, sanitary, and safe kennel environments 
  •  Assisting with bathing and basic grooming services (nail trims, ear cleanings, anal gland expression) 
  •  Supporting veterinary staff with safe pet handling and comfort care 
  •  Monitoring pets for changes in behavior or health and addressing concerns promptly 
  •  Promoting a positive, professional team culture 
This is an active, fast-paced leadership role requiring physical stamina, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a genuine love for animals.

đŸš« This Role May Not Be a Fit If

  •  You are uncomfortable around dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments 
  •  You dislike cleaning or hands-on animal care 
  •  You struggle with being on your feet or lifting and handling pets safely 
  •  You prefer to work independently rather than lead and mentor a team 
🕒 Schedule Requirements
  •  Full-time (35–40 hours per week) 
  •  Shifts between 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. 
  •  Must be available to work weekends and holidays 
  •  Dependability and flexibility are essential
