BODY20 Des Peres is dedicated to longevity-focused strength and stability training for adults in West County. We specialize in intelligent, progressive training methods that enhance movement quality, structural stability, and resistance to injury.
As a BODY20 Closing Shift Fitness Coach (Performance Specialist), you will be an integral part of a small team of coaches to deliver time-condensed workouts using Electro-Muscular Stimulation (EMS) technology and provide best-in-class member experiences. You will be responsible for leading fitness sessions, implementing effective workout programs, coaching clients on personalized fitness plans, and educating on proper form and techniques.
This position is part-time with shift starting between 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities
- Administer InBody evaluations and EMS personal training sessions
- Establish and maintain a high level of service according to company standards and "go the extra mile" to provide a positive and energetic environment for members
- Provide a high level of personalized attention to members
- Maintain knowledge and/or participation in all club services, programs, and products
- Instruct and demonstrate to members on the proper use of equipment and exercise techniques which may include operating equipment and dynamically moving weight up to 50 pounds
- Adjust and operate all EMS and Fitness Equipment to BODY20 standards
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Attend all coach-related meetings/trainings and team meetings
- Other duties as assigned
In the Performance Specialist role, you will be part of a passionate, positive, and energetic team that positively affects the lives of our members every day! This role is an integral part of the operation and success of a fast-paced fitness studio. You will be responsible for the acquisition and retention of members, providing best-in-class service to everyone you encounter and representing BODY20 in the community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Greet members and guests promptly and enthusiastically to create a friendly, positive experience
- Deliver superior member experience while following the proper coaching, safety and other operating protocols
- Provide a high level of personalized attention to members; ensuring they are challenged to the best of their abilities
- Maintain knowledge and/or participation in all club services, programs and products
- Build strong client relationships and ensure an exceptional in-studio experience
- Complete front desk procedures such as greeting visitors, member check-in, handling member inquiries and conducting customer care calls
- Check studio email inbox frequently and respond to all emails, calls, and text messages promptly. Facilitate reminder and follow-up calls and messages.
- Manage the sales funnel through phone calls, text messages and emails to build relationships and conduct intake review with booked leads; conduct in-studio sales consultations as needed
Work Schedule / Logistics:
· Generally in the studio when not outside for external marketing/events
· Some evening and weekend work may be required
Essential Physical Requirements
- Must be able to perform all essential physical aspects of the position, which may include standing, sitting, running, walking, jumping, squatting, bending, and reaching. As well as pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs. at a time
Qualifications
- Current nationally recognized Personal Training certification a plus
- CPR/AED certification (preferred)
- 1-3 years of previous Personal Training experience (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possess honesty and personal integrity
- Possess passion, ambition, drive, and knowledge regarding the fitness industry
- Excel in time management, organizational, and follow-up skills
- Reliable, professional, computer literate and tech savvy, energetic, and friendly
- Must be able to maintain a regular and predictable part-time schedule
- Willing and able to work some nights, and occasional weekends and holidays
- Ability to take 1-2 BODY20 sessions per week to effectively describe the workout to members
- Must be 18 or older
